Role & responsibilities:
  • Customer focus and interaction.
  • Advise and guide clients in the best use of application software.
  • Provide specialist technical advice around the salesforce ecosystem and support to the Platform team & other squads.
  • Liaise proactively with Scrum Masters, Business & Functional Analysts, Testing and other functions on projects and operational work as required.
  • Confident in presenting solution designs in front of a design council & different stakeholders.
Technical focus:
  • Knowledge & experience in salesforce platform particularly around Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud & common AppExchange apps.
  • Proven experience of Apex, Triggers, Classes and Lightning Web Components, API Web Services and Salesforce declarative programming techniques.
  • Configure of objects, flows, sharing settings, permission sets and other security related configuration components.
  • Testing the stability and functionality of the application
  • Troubleshooting and fixing bugs
  • Writing documents and providing technical training for Salesforce Staff
  • Maintaining the security and integrity of the Salesforce environment, both via secure coding and design principles, along with management of roles and permissions, and strong use of secure integrations and information governance.
  • Build Integrations using Apex REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events and Outbound Messages
  • DevOps (Salesforce DX) experience preferred including use of DevOps tools like Git, Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of products like Gearset, AWS Pipelines.
  • Certifications in Platform Developer II; Sales; Service; or Community Cloud.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce object model.
  • A good understanding of continuous integration methodologies
  • Good hands-on knowledge of Process builder, Flow, Workflows, Approvals, Apex Triggers, Apex Classes, Visual Force Pages, SOQL & SOSL, Data Loader, Lightning Component Framework, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Lightning Design System, Lightning App Builder
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Education Cloud would be desirable.
Preferred candidate profile:
  • Strong experience in a hands-on development capacity, on cloud applications with 5+ years’ experience designing, implementing and supporting Salesforce Solutions including developing customer-facing interfaces
  • Experience in APEX development, Lightning components, LWC and complex Salesforce configuration.
  • Experience in working with the development team in analysing, designing, coding and unit testing Salesforce solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce development Best Practices; including Code & Release Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; proven ability to write quality technical documentation.
  • Experience in working with Agile methodology.
  • Ensuring service governance framework is adhered to, including wiki documentation
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage complex tasks using project management best practice.
  • Substantial experience in debugging or troubleshooting complex problems while providing effective progress communications and fault escalation procedures.
  • Proven ability to successfully participate as a productive team member, project leader / mentor or work autonomously as required.
  • Provide a range of complex software technical services to support the design, development, implementation and production operations of existing and new corporate applications
